Well true believers, to all of you that said "Fuck military...go to school...", here is my big chance. Today I had an appointment at the AIH (Art Institute of Houston) and had a tour. Everything about it was spectacular. All the classes were in one single building, instead of over a sprawling campus, and they offer exactly what my dreams lead me toward...animation. This is my chance for higher learning. I was even told they'd set me up with a part-time job and housing! Giggidy! If I'm able to do this, then there will be no going back to Kansas, at least for another 4 years. 3 years from now, and I could have my bachelors in Media Arts & Animation. Now, I know some of you are thinking, "But Jack, how much will this cost you?" $76,250.00- total tuition and fees. Now your thinking, "Good God Jack! You can't afford that!" I don't need to. Financial Aid and Grants. Not to mention I am only responsible for $7,570 per quarter. Where will I live? Apartment. In the Galleria area. They gave me a sort of book with all the apartments of the Houston area in it. I've already scanned through and there are studio apartments that I can live in that are very close to campus for as little as $380 a month. And these are NICE apartments. Should I do this? Or should I just move back to Kansas in July? Will Batman escape the evil Joker? O...and no girlfriend for Jack anymore...figures... and still no car... or job... but... yea |
